There are several different types of flame retardant PA, each offering unique properties and benefits.

For example, one type of flame retardant PA contains phosphorus-based additives that create a char layer when exposed to heat. This char layer acts as a barrier, preventing the material from catching fire and slowing down the spread of flames.

Another type of flame retardant PA contains halogen-based additives that work by releasing bromine or chlorine gas when exposed to heat. These gases help to interrupt the combustion process and prevent flames from spreading.
