Polyethylene is divided into high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) depending on the polymerization method, molecular weight and chain structure.

Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)

Properties: HDPE low-density polyethylene (commonly known as soft rubber) is a white resin with a waxy feel, its structure is characterized by non-linear. The molecular weight is generally in the range of 100,000~500,000. Therefore, compared with medium-density and high-density polyethylene, it has lower crystallinity and softening point, better flexibility, elongation, electrical insulation, transparency, and higher impact strength. LDPE has poor mechanical strength, poor heat resistance, and another significant weakness is poor resistance to environmental stress cracking.

Uses: LDPE is mostly used for film products, and most of the film products are used for packaging. Another part of it is used as agricultural film and construction film. LDPE packaging film can be used for candy, vegetables, frozen food and other food packaging, can also be used as a liner film, shrink packaging film, flexible packaging film, heavy packaging film and other non-food packaging film.
