Linear low density polyethylene (LLDP) resin is known as the third generation polyethylene. In addition to the properties of general polyolefin resins, its tensile strength, tear strength, environmental stress cracking resistance, low temperature resistance, heat resistance and puncture resistance are particularly superior.

Although LLDPE Granule belongs to the same density range as LDPE in the past, their physical basic properties and molding and processing characteristics are different due to the different molecular structures and different melt rheological behaviors between them.

Structurally, LLDPE Granule differs from HDPE only in the number of short chains, which is lower and ultimately depends on its application, and the density of both LLDPE and LDPE ranges from 0.91 to 0.925 g/cm3. This higher crystallinity also increases the melting point of LLDPE by 10 to 15 compared to LDPE. higher tensile strength, penetration resistance, tear resistance and increased elongation are properties of LLDPE that make it particularly suitable for film making. Even impact and tear resistance can be greatly improved if hexene or octene is used as the copolymer monomer instead of butene. The longer side chains of hexene and octene resins act as "knotted" molecules between the chains, improving the toughness of the compounds. The production of resins with cyclic olefin metal derivative catalysts will have unique properties. These are similar to those of LLDPE produced with Ziegler catalysts.

LLDPE Granule has similar disadvantages to LDPE in the property of transparency:The cloudiness and gloss of LLDPE film is bad, mainly because of its higher crystallinity causing the film surface roughness.The transparency of LLDPE resin can be improved by blending with small amounts of LDPE.
