Liquid Phase Ontology Method

The combined liquid-phase gas-phase, liquid-phase ontology polypropylene production process is a new process that was developed in the late stages of polypropylene production. The process was introduced seven years after the industrial production of polypropylene began in 1957.

The production of Polypropylene Resins by the liquid-phase ontology method involves the direct dispersion of the catalyst in the liquid-phase propylene for the liquid-phase ontology polymerization reaction without the addition of any other solvent to the reaction system. The polymer is continuously precipitated from the liquid-phase propylene and suspended in the liquid-phase propylene in the form of fine particles. As the reaction time increases, the concentration of polymer particles in the liquid propylene increases. When the conversion of propylene reaches a certain level, the unpolymerized propylene monomer is recovered by flash evaporation to obtain a powdered polypropylene product. This is a relatively simple and advanced method of industrial production of polypropylene. The liquid phase ontology process represents a new technology and level of international Polypropylene Resins production in the eighties.

Process features:

(1) No solvent is added to the system, propylene monomer in the liquid phase state in the kettle reactor for liquid phase ontology polymerization, ethylene propylene in the fluidized bed reactor for gas phase copolymerization.

(2) Simple process, less equipment, less investment, low power consumption and production costs.

(3) Homopolymerization using kettle stirred reactor (Hypol process), or ring tube reactor (Spheripol process), random copolymerization and block copolymerization are carried out in the stirred fluidized bed.
