PE Pellets

A thermoplastic resin made by polymerization of ethylene, one of the most common plastics, producing more than 100 million tons of polyethylene resin annually, accounting for 34% of the total plastics market.PE is a typical crystalline polymer, with a melting point of 130 ° C to 145 ° C, which is characterized by odorless, tasteless, non-odor, non-toxic, non-translucent surface, milky-white waxy particles.

Advantages: 

a. Resistant to low or cold temperatures, with a minimum operating temperature of -100 to -70°C.

b. Corrosion resistant (not resistant to nitric acid), insoluble in common solvents at room temperature.

c. Low water absorption, less than 0.01%.

d. Excellent electrical insulation.

e. High ductility and impact strength and low friction, it exhibits strong creep under sustained force, which can be reduced by the addition of short fibers.

Disadvantages: 

a. Flammable, oxygen index 17.4, burns with low smoke, a few molten droplets, yellowish blue flame, paraffin odor.

b. Low water permeability but high air permeability, suitable for moisture-proof packaging.

c. Surfaces are non-polarized and difficult to bond and print.

d. UV-intolerant and poorly weathered, brittle in sunlight.

e. High shrinkage, prone to shrinkage and deformation (shrinkage: 1.5-3.0%).
